A new report released this week by Christian watchdog Open Doors listed North Korea on top of countries where Christians face most persecution.

In Sri Lanka, a Christian group criticized the government’s decision to cremate COVID-19 victims, and a US congressional body accused China of possibly committing “genocide” against Muslims.

Philippine bishops backed this week government efforts to acquire COVID-19 vaccines while the Vatican issued guidelines for Ash Wednesday observance during the pandemic.

At the Vatican, Pope Francis allowed more roles for women in Church.

Also this week, Pope Francis and Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI received their COVID-19 vaccines.
