The Thai seaside resort town of Pattaya held its Pride Parade on June 25, one of the first major public events following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in the kingdom.
The Thai parliament passed the Marriage Equality Bill (MEB) on its first reading on June 15, 2022. The bill amendment, if passed by the Senate, will allow couples to legally wed and move towards receiving equal rights and legal benefits regardless of their gender.
