The Catholic Bishops Conference in India (CCBI) launched the Catholic Connect Mobile App during a plenary assembly at St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences in Bangalore.
Dignitaries, including Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão, Cardinal Oswald Gracias, Cardinal Anthony Poola, and other CCBI leaders, attended the event.
The app is a comprehensive platform for Catholics in India, offering access to spiritual resources, news, and various services, such as health insurance, education, jobs, and emergency assistance.
According to Vatican News, the Catholic faithful can locate nearby churches, access Mass schedules, and connect with their parishes and dioceses while using the app.
The app’s design aims to enhance a sense of community among users, regardless of their location. Registration allows users to select their parish and diocese, ensuring tailored information.
Sections like “My Parish” and “My Diocese” provide information, events, notifications, announcements, and obituaries.
The app also features CCBI Commissions, showcasing their activities, training sessions, and programs. This interactive platform allows commission secretaries to directly feature their initiatives, maximizing the reach and impact of CCBI’s programs.
The Catholic Connect App is poised to be a vital tool, promoting unity and connectivity among Catholics in India.
