The Chrism Mass is a ceremony observed in various Christian traditions, including Roman Catholic, Lutheran, and Anglican denominations.

Typically held on Maundy Thursday or another day within Holy Week annually, this service involves the blessing or consecration of the sacred oils utilized in sacraments and other rituals.

In the Archdiocese of Manila, Cardinal Jose Advincula led the celebration of the Chrism Mass at the Manila Cathedral on Holy Thursday, March 28, 2024.

The Chrism Mass stands as one of the liturgical year’s most solemn and significant ceremonies, marking a time when priests convene in a demonstration of unity with their bishop and solidarity within the clergy.
