Christmas: A time of peace, a time of hope

At Christmas we focus on the Christ child and his parents Mary and Joseph. A child comes with his message of peace and hope.

All eyes turn to a child. What will this child grow up to be?

2020 has been for many of us the most difficult year of our lives.

The pandemic has caused death and destruction and has left its mark on the lives of each one of us. Yet the pandemic has given us the opportunity to reflect on the reality of our lives in our homes and our families.

The family, the smallest unit of society is the domestic church — where there is peace, joy, happiness and hope. Our families have kept us together. We have been able to spend quality time with the members of our family in the comfort of our homes. However, sadly some families have seen an increase of domestic violence.

As we celebrate Christmas may our lives take on a new dimension of peace — in our hearts, our families and may it radiate to all we encounter. May the new born Child fill us with peace and hope that each one of us do our part to renew our families and our country.

Happy Christmas to you and your families!

Support Our Mission

We work tirelessly each day to tell the stories of those living on the fringe of society in Asia and how the Church in all its forms - be it lay, religious or priests - carries out its mission to support those in need, the neglected and the voiceless.
We need your help to continue our work each day. Make a difference and donate today.
