Filipino Catholics celebrate Jan. 19, the Feast of the Santo Nino (Child Jesus) with festive and elaborate rites that attract both local and foreign tourists.

In Metro Manila, a grand religious procession and blessing of images of the Child Jesus is held at four o’clock in the morning.

During the day, 33 fiesta masses are celebrated by the hour since Jan 18 until 11 p.m. of Jan. 19 at the Santo Nino de Tondo Parish in Manila, the center of celebrations in the Philippine capital.
