IN PHOTOS: Apostolic Nuncio, Thai prelates visit prison 

Archbishop Peter Wells, the Apostolic Nuncio to Thailand, joined by Bishop Joseph Panya Kritcharoen, Bishop Paul Tawat Singsa of Nakhon Sawan, Rev. Trairong Multree, National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies of Thailand, and Rev. Anucha Chaiyadej, Director of Catholic Social Communication in Thailand, visited inmates at Minburi Special Prison on Friday morning, June 14, 2024.

Accompanying them were additional clergy and members of the United in Love Group. The visit commenced with a welcoming performance by the inmates and followed with a Thanksgiving Mass led by Bishop Paul Tawat Singsa. 

The delegation distributed essential items, food, and inspirational books, including spiritual guides and prayer books. 



In the afternoon, the visit extended to the Samut Sakhon Provincial Prison. On this occasion, Archbishop Wells conveyed the Pope’s blessings, emphasizing his heartfelt wishes and hopes for all. 

He also reiterated the teachings of Jesus about the importance of visiting the poor, the sick, migrants, and those in prison. 

In response, inmate representatives expressed their gratitude, acknowledging that the visit had reignited their hope and strengthened their resolve to lead better lives and contribute positively to society.
