Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, was honored with the Religious Leader Award by the Catholic Faith Network during a ceremony at the Garden City Hotel, New York, on Nov. 26. 

The accolade highlighted Cardinal Tagle’s exceptional contributions to the Catholic Church, particularly his innovative use of modern media to spread the Gospel and foster engagement across diverse global audiences.

Known for his deep compassion and advocacy for marginalized communities, the prelate has earned widespread recognition for his efforts to modernize the Church’s approach to evangelization while remaining rooted in its core teachings. 



His use of television and social media has been particularly effective in reaching younger generations, bridging traditional faith values with contemporary communication tools.

The event also served as a celebration of Cardinal Tagle’s decades-long dedication to service. His impactful work, both in his native Philippines and on the global stage, underscores his commitment to uplifting those in need and inspiring faith in an ever-changing world.
