PHOTOS: Tokyo Church marks Chrism Mass with priestly renewal and seminarian rites

Cardinal Isao Kikuchi led the Chrism Mass at Tokyo Cathedral in the presence of the papal nuncio, where around 130 priests, both diocesan and religious, renewed their ordination vows.

The liturgy also marked key moments in priestly formation, as Frt. Imai, a diocesan seminarian of Tokyo, was instituted as acolyte, while Frt. Tsutsumi, SDB, was instituted as lector.

Deacon Frt. Anancy, SVD, served during the Mass, as the Church called on the faithful to keep priests and seminarians in prayer.
