Video: A Church open to everyone

Pope Francis talks about what it means to walk together, which is “what God expects of the Church of the third millennium”

In this month’s prayer intention, Pope Francis speaks about a Church that is “open to everyone.”

He talks of what it means to walk together, which is “what God expects of the Church of the third millennium.”

“It means listening to each other in our diversity and opening doors to those outside the Church. It’s not about gathering opinions, nor holding a parliament,” said Pope Francis.

He said the synod isn’t a survey. “It’s about listening to the protagonist, the Holy Spirit. It’s about praying. Without prayer, there will be no Synod.”

We work tirelessly each day to tell the stories of those living on the fringe of society in Asia and how the Church in all its forms - be it lay, religious or priests - carries out its mission to support those in need, the neglected and the voiceless.
We need your help to continue our work each day. Make a difference and donate today.
