Christians in central Indian state beaten for not giving up faith

They claimed that they were beaten on November 22 "with stick and slippers" after they were forced into their homes

Members of at least eight Christian tribal families in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh were reportedly beaten for not giving up their faith.

They claimed that they were beaten on November 22 “with stick and slippers” after they were forced into their homes.

The attack resulted in injuries with two women and a man needing hospitalization, according to a report on Matters India.

“We are fearing for our lives as the attackers had threatened to burn our houses if we continued with our faith in Lord Jesus,” said one villager. “We will not give up our faith,” he said.

The villager also accused the police of taking the side of the attackers rather than helping them.
