IN PHOTOS: Fraternity and friendship in Mongolia

During Pope Francis’ Apostolic Journey to Mongolia, the Holy Father was welcomed at the Steppe Arena Exhibition Hall by thousands from many countries such as Thailand, China, Vietnam, Hong Kong and South Korea.

Among those who came to welcome the pope were Buddihst monks from Wat Phra Dhammakaya Mongolia.

“Because the common point of all religions is peace,” said one of the monks during an interview with local media, “we are therefore partners in the pursuit of inner happiness by doing good and creating peace in this world together.”

After the event, the monks also met religious leaders from Thailand when they encouraged each other to continue to serve as a leader of light to the hearts of the people
