Filipinos in Manila observe minimum health protocols as the country continues to face high incidences of COVID-19 infections

Filipinos in the Philippine capital Manila observe minimum health protocols as the country continues to face high incidences of COVID-19 infections.

Philippine authorities this week announced that it will open COVID-19 vaccination to the general population in October.

The National Economic and Development Authority estimated the long-run total cost of the COVID-19 pandemic and quarantines for the next 40 years would be 41.4 trillion pesos.

Consumption and investments are also estimated to lower in the next 10 years due to reduced demand in sectors that require physical distancing, such as tourism, dining, and public transportation.
