The installation or induction of a new parish priest is an occasion for him to be formally presented to the parish in a liturgical context.

The ceremony is so arranged to remind priest and the people of their responsibility together before God to serve Christ in his Church, and by their holiness and the example of their lives, individually and as a community, to promote the mission of their Lord.

On June 25, 2022, feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Bishop Honesto Ongtioco of the Diocese of Cubao installed Father Julius Jose “Father Jay” A. Coching, CMF, as the new parish priest of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Quezon City.

The ceremony took place during the Holy Mass and was attended by parishioners and members of the clergy and the religious. (Photos by Jire Carreon for LiCAS News)
