Thousands of protesters rallied along Commonwealth Avenue a few hours before President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. delivers his second State of the Nation Address July 24.

Militant groups decried the “worsening” situation of human rights in the country and the continuing culture of impunity. The groups also lambasted the lack of socio-economic programs of the current administration to address poverty and “widespread unemployment”.
